Global Conference “The New Social Dimension in the Mission of Higher Education”

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Council of Rectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Office of Erasmus + in Kazakhstan and the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov inform about the global conference “The New Social Dimension in the Mission of Higher Education” taking place in the city of Nur-Sultan on October 30, 2019.

The conference will be held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, 2 Satpayev st, Nur-Sultan city.

The purpose of the conference: to discuss the third mission of higher education in the context of the positioning of universities in the global world and consider them as drivers in the development of the country.

The conference is supposed to involve international experts, representatives of state bodies, foreign and Kazakhstani universities, employers’ associations, non-governmental organizations. Representatives of Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission, the Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan, the Embassies of foreign states, International organizations, and the Media are also invited to participate in the Conference.

The conference includes the following sections:

Section 1. Tools and practices of interaction between universities and society.

Section 2. Partnership of universities and business for social development.

Section 3. Social Justice and Equality

Working languages of the Conference: Kazakh, Russian, English.

The modalities of participation:

Those wishing to participate in the conference must send the documents below to the email by October 10, 2019:

– The text of the report that meets the requirements for its design.

– Review recommendation for the article.

In the absence of one of the above documents, materials for publication will not be accepted.

An electronic collection of abstracts will be released prior to the conference. As a result of the conference, it is planned to issue a printed collection with the assignment of ISBN.

Received materials will undergo an examination by the editorial board, at the conclusion of which the submitted materials will be included in the conference collection for publication. Materials that do not pass the examination are not returned to the authors.

Participation in the events of the Conference is free. Travel expenses (travel, accommodation, meals) are made by the participants.
