We invite you to the seminar that will take place on October 17, 2019 at the Institute of Applied Chemistry, Momyshuly 5, Schoolchildren’s Palace, in the conference hall (yellow circle), at 16:00.

The seminar on “Bioprospecting of medicinal plants and lichen Fungi for antimicrobial compounds (antibiotics)” will be held by Buddha Bahadur Basnet (PhD), Molecular Laboratory Scientist (Surya Diagnostic and Research Center, Kathmandu Nepal). The language of the seminar is English (questions can be asked in any language).

Buddha Bahadur Basnet received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology (2008) and a master’s degree in biotechnology (2010) in Tribhuvan University, Nepal. In 2019, he defended his PhD degree in microbiology at the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

He is the author of 12 articles with a high citation index, holder of grants from CAS-TWAS President Fellowship 2015-2019 (PhD fellowship) and UNESCO-Great wall Co-sponsored fellowship 2014-2015 (Senior Scholar).
