To all who wishes to participate in the seminar “Improving the quality of scientific research and strategic partnership”

Seminar on “Improving the quality of scientific research and strategic partnership”will be held on April 5-6, on the basis of “Nazarbayev University”.

The seminar is organized by the National Center for State scientific and technical expertise jointly with the British Council, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Master classes of traditional series dedicated to preparation of applications for funding, provided by the Kazakh and foreign sources of grant support for scientific researchers are planned. Invited speakers are Professors of leading universities of the world, specializing in the following areas:

· Natural and engineering sciences;

· Social and Political Sciences;

· Medical and Biological Sciences;

· Chemical sciences.

Within the framework of collaboration with the British Council, the seminar will bring together 15 leading scientists of British universities who have expressed a willingness and readiness to cooperate with local scientists in the framework of priorities, such as:

· Energy

· Information and telecommunication technologies

· Advanced processing of raw materials and products.

The seminar will provide a unique opportunity to establish personal contacts with representatives of leading British universities interested in implementation of joint scientific research projects with Kazakh researchers.

With the same purpose the Kazakh scientists by the end of the seminar and on a competitive basis could have an opportunity to visit the British universities and establish communication with their colleagues on interested directions of cooperation within the framework of provided by the British Council “familiarization grants”.

To participate in the seminar it is necessary to fill in the application for participants and send it to till the 20th March.
