Yuriy Uzikov, a famous specialist in nuclear physics, who has worked at the invitation of many European educational institutions, leading researcher of the JINR Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, a Professor of the Department of Particle Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Department of Nuclear Physics “Dubna” International University, is invited to Eurasian National University, International Department of Nuclear Physics, New Materials and Technologies to lecture on topical issues of interaction of particles and nuclei for students, master students, doctoral students and teachers, as well as to discuss the programme of joint training of masters and PhD doctors in nuclear physics. At ENU the Professor will be from February 20 to March 4, 2012.
Areas of scientific interests of Yu.N. Uzikov are theoretical nuclear physics, quantum mechanics and Relativistic quantum theory, physics of hadrons, the few body systems, computational methods in nuclear physics.
In recent years, Y.n. Uzikov together with German colleagues has been conducting theoretical research of mechanisms of accumulation of polarization antiprotons in rings within the prospective project PAX, which purpose is to study the structure of spin polarization in Italian in bundle antiprotons, planned to be built in Germany at the accelerated comlex FAIR (Darmstadt).
Professor Y.N. Uzikov has been invited with academic presentations to Japan, Italy, Germany, Poland, United States, Austria, Canada, Australia, Mexico. He has lectured at the universities of Germany, the USA, Italy, and Poland.
